About the Salt Lake City, Draper, Sandy, West & South Jordan, Holladay, Bluffdale & Murray Cities in Salt Lake County, Utah Salt Lake City is the capital of the state of Utah as well as the largest city in the State. It is the nucleus of Salt Lake County and the Wasatch Front. Utah's Climate & Weather
Average Temperatures Annual: 51.8'F July: 77.9'F January: 27.9'F Average Annual Rainfall: 16.8" Snow Fall: 64.5" Living here you have the opportunity to enjoy all four seasons! The average maximum daytime temperatures range from 28 degrees Fahrenheit in January to 78 degrees in July. Low humidity and lots of sunshine are two favorable aspects of the climate. The summer daytime relative humidity averages less than 30 percent, and the sun shines an average of 237 days a year with 67 percent annual sunshine. Annual precipitation varies from less than five inches in Utah's Great Salt Lake desert to more than 60 inches in the northern mountain ranges. Snow frequently accumulates to depths of 10 feet or more at many Wasatch Mountain ski resorts. Because of the state's inland location and because winter storms pass over the Great Salt Lake (which draws excessive moisture from the clouds) Utah's snow is unusually dry and is considered by many skiers to be the world's greatest powder snow. Professional racers train on the consistently good snow at Utah's ski resorts. Salt Lake County is one of four counties along the Wasatch Front. (The wasatch Front referes to the mountain range that runs along the east side of Weber County at the northern end through Davis County, Salt Lake County and into Utah County at the Southern end). When living in this part of the West, you will hear the term Wasatch Front used quite often. THE WRIGLEYS SELL REAL ESTATE THROUGHOUT SALT LAKE COUNTY AND INTO THE NEIGHBORING COUNTIES ALONG THE WASATCH FRONT. Making An Offer >Making Your Offer
When you find the right home, what can you do to maximize your chances of actually getting it? The first step you should take is to make a prompt offer.
Whether you are in a buyers' or sellers' market, taking too much time to initiate an offer can cost you money, especially if you are planning to offer less than the asking price or will be asking for special terms. If your offer is the only one on the table, the sellers will consider it, and if they don't accept it, they may make a good counter offer. While you are "sleeping on it", however, you risk the possibility of another offer coming in. If another buyer appears on the scene, you lose an important advantage while you and the sellers are going back and forth with offers and counter offers. A buyer who really wants that special house will make the best possible offer --as quickly as possible.
